1. Outer Shell
• Made of tough impact resistant fiber-glass composite for lightweight and superior protection.
• Long lasting, easy to clean, high gloss, flame retardant finish resists scratches and ultra-violet rays.
• Highly visible fluorescent, Chevron Reflexite® trim for added wearer safety.
• Metal D-Ring and clip for easy storage.
• The choice of fibre-glass as opposed to thermal plastic was based on superior resistance to high temperatures and chemicals-commonplace environments for today's firefighters.
2. Face Shield
• Replaceable 4" or 6" polyphthalate carbonate (PPC) wrap around face shield, cammed for ready storage.
• Easy to operate tension adjustment.
• Face Shield Bracket-all plastic components provide maximum dielectric protection.
3. Thermal Liner
• Nomex® thermal liner withstands temperatures up to 700 degree F.
• Unique positioning between the impact insert and outer shell (patent pending) provides a flame barrier.
• Nomex® jersey knit forehead band conforms to the shape of the head and allows breathing apparatus interface.
• Soft adjustable Nomex® flannel lined strap with Velcro® closure liner close to face for comfort and safety.
4. Suspension System
• 1-piece head band with ratchet assembly easily adjusts to fit a wide range of head sizes (6-1/2" to 9").
• Newly style head band ratchet assembly acts as a nape device also, as required by NFPA 1972/1992.
• Comfortable, removable tricot foam swet band absorbs persperation.
5. Impact Insert
• Made from impact resistant foam, moulded to a black embossed
plastic liner that is flame retardant and offers excellent impact resistance at low temperatures.
• One piece construction for easy assembly/disassembly and parts replacement.
