We have carried the IM-179/U Gamma Dose Rate Meter for the last 15 years. This handy Radiac meter is easy to use and has always been calibrated by our lab. Homeland Security has raised license fees for the radioactive source so high, that we can�t afford to renew it. We have a limited amount of meters available. Time is running out, so if you have been considering a rate meter for your Total Preparedness Program... do not delay? Like new condition. Meter reads from 2Mr to 200R per hour. Very accurate for its size and includes a test button to insure that it is working. Measures 3�� x 2�� x 1". Unit requires a 1.5 volt battery (A640PX) and a 6 volt battery (A32PX, both are included.
